Psalm 34:8-10, “O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the Lord, His saints; for those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.” I serve a caring and loving God. A God who tells me in Verses 17 and 18 of this Psalm that “The righteous cry and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” These verses let us know that we have a God who delivers us out of all our troubles. we shall never be in want of any good thing. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. I can attest that God is near when you are brokenhearted. When someone you love passes away, you can experience a broken heart for a time. When you feel as if your heart and life will never again feel joy, know that God is near and will heal your heart. This is the God I serve. He lets me know that He sees and is my comforter. He is my strength when I am so weary and cannot go on. Throughout His word God shows us His lovingkindness and faithfulness. He lets us know when we cry out to Him, He hears and delivers us. Psalm 34:15 tells us the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and He hears our cries. I ask that you taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 46:1, says “God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble”. God is a present help. He is near us at all times. Psalm 56:8 tells us God puts our tears in His bottle. This is the God I serve. He promises when I cry out to Him, He will hear my cries and deliver me out of all my troubles. Psalm 61:3-4, “For Thou has been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Thy tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Thy wings.” Psalm 62:8 tells us to pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. Most of all His lovingkindness is everlasting.
