Psalm 46:1-3, “God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.” If we can commit this scripture to memory, we can draw strength during the times in our life we are experiencing trouble. My Bible breaks down verse one. “A very present help”, it reads, “Or, abundantly available for help, or in tight places”. God is available to help, abundantly! When I am in tight places. I will not fear when everything around me seems to be falling apart. Psalm 46:4-5 says, “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God. The holy dwelling places of the Most High God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.” When we call upon God, He hears our cries. He is in the midst with us. I will not be moved, I will not fear, though the world around me changes. I have a very present help in trouble! We need to remember that God is our strength and refuge. Trust in the One who is abundantly available for help!
