Go forward

Exodus 14:15, “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward.” Moses had just told the people of Israel in verse 14, “Don’t fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today.” There are times our faith is shaken. We see where we had come from and how God saved us from the death of sin, yet we are now looking at a place which seems there is no way to cross. It may be sickness or loss that has shaken our faith. The path in front of us seems insurmountable. I want to remind you today to stand by and see the salvation of the Lord. In the song Moses and the sons of Isarel sang in Chapter 15 it says, “The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will extol Him. The Lord is a warrior. The Lord is His name” (verse 2 and 3). Verse 16 says, “Terror and dread fell upon them; by the greatness of Thine arm they are motionless as stone; until Thy people cross over, O Lord. Until Thy people cross over whom you have purchased.” There is nothing we face that His people whom Thou purchased cannot overcome. The promise is there for us, “until we cross over”. He is God with us through every storm, and He tells us to go forward and see the salvation which He will accomplish for you today!
