Romans 5:6, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.” Ecclesiastes 3:11, 14, 15, “He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the works which God has done from the beginning to end.” “I know that everything God does will remain forever, there is nothing to add to it, and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him. That which is, has been already, and that which will be, has already been, for God seeks what has passed by.” Have you ever been in a situation where someone is late to a planned event. I had a meeting not too long ago, which I had scheduled. It was to start at 10:00 a.m. Emails were sent out requiring a response if the person would be attending. Eight invitations went out and six were in attendance. I waited a few minutes for the other two to join and then started the meeting. I would look at the screen occasionally to see if the other two had joined the meeting. After the meeting I reached out to the two who hadn’t attended. At first, I was upset that they hadn’t attended even though they had responded that they would be there. A new policy was going into effect the next day and everyone needed to be aware of it. It was an important meeting. Why had all eight invitations come back as accepted, yet only six attended? We can compare this to when we tell others about Jesus. It is an important message. We want others to understand what is changing. Yet, we feel disappointed when only a few accept the message. We, however, forget that everything that God does remains forever. That at the right time, God makes everything appropriate in its time. I didn’t cancel the meeting because everyone was not there. I presented the new policy to not only those who attended the meeting but also reached out, one on one, to the two who didn’t attend. I could have chosen not to inform the other two and let them stumble around, when what they were used to was no longer working. But I didn’t. I let them know what to expect when they started their shifts the next day. Ecclesiastes 3:14 says, “I know that everything God does will remain forever.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.” God’s timing is perfect. We need to give others the message and let God do the rest. He has made everything appropriate in its time. Everything God does will remain forever!!
