Luke 19:4-5, “And he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down for today I must stay at your house.” In Chapter 18-35-43, we are told about the blind man sitting by the road, begging. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he began calling out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.” When he was told sternly to be quiet, he cried out all the more. Both of these men were hindered by the crowd of people surrounding Jesus. One was blind, the other small in stature, yet each found a way to get Jesus’s attention. In the hustle and bustle of our lives, it is so important to find a way to get Jesus’s attention. These men were determined to seek Jesus. If the blind man had listened to those telling him to be quiet, he would not have regained his sight. If Zaccheus gave up trying to see who Jesus was, he would not have had Jesus ask him to stay at his house. Push through the distractions in your life and cry out to the Lord. There He will find you. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
