Mark 4:21-23, “And He was saying to them, “A lamp is not bought to put under a peck-measure is it or under a bed? Is it not brought to be put on a lampstand? For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed, nor has anything been secret, but it should come to light. If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.” November 2, we turn the clocks back. Daylight Savings Time it’s called. The idea is that this allows us to use more natural daylight. One hour forward in the Spring and one hour back in the Fall. In this scripture we are reminded the reason a lamp is bought. Our salvation was bought by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus did not present the perfect sacrifice for our redemption for us to put it under a bushel. Our redemption is to be put on a lampstand so others can find their way. In a time, where we are seeing more and more darkness taking over the world, Daylight Savings Time isn’t what is needed, but it is Son Light Savings Time. Let your light shine bright. This is what people need. “If any man has ears, let him hear.”
