Ephesians 6:10 “Finally be strong in the Lord and the strength of His might.” There is a bully among us. A tormentor that deceives us into thinking we are weak. Too weak to overcome our sins. He goes about pushing and trying to make us fall down. The one who tries to get us to be afraid of him. He is there every day throwing lies and deceit. Revelation 12:17 “And the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” But a bully has no power over us when faced with the truth. Ephesians 1:18-23 “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might, which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” What better promise or truth do we have when we are in Christ. The bully thinks he can get us to believe his lies. He can push us and try to make us fall. But we know that greater is He that is us than he that is in the world. When we stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might, we will overcome all the flaming darts the bully throws at us. Revelation 12:10-11, “And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now the salvation and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night. “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.” With a loud voice, I tell you that through the blood of the Lamb, through the authority of Christ, who all things are subject under His feet, you can overcome the taunts of the bully, because he knows he only has a short time to try to get us to fall. I will stand strong in the strength of God’s might!!
